What can we offer you?
At ANDRITZ, you will be part of a world-leading global company with colleagues from all over the world. You will be surrounded by a positive team spirit with supportive colleagues to share knowledge and learn together with. Your colleagues are engaged and competent, which means good conditions for your professional development, and there are also good opportunities for advancement within the company. In your work, you will meet many different people and have the opportunity to discover new places. We offer you varied challenges and the freedom to largely plan your own work.
As a process engineer with us, you will be a driving force in the development of efficient and sustainable processes. We dry and refine the green hydrocarbon lignin and next-generation textile fibers – materials with significantly lower climate and environmental impact than today’s alternatives. You will also be involved in developing advanced drying systems for the paper and pulp industry.
Here, you will work closely with technology and help develop solutions that are used globally. You will work with calculations, optimization, and process engineering assessments from the quotation stage to completed customer projects. The role is characterized by close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal experts and is suitable for you who thrive in a technology-focused environment with international contacts.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who thrives in a technically complex environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is proactive. You are fearless, have good judgment, and are confident in making decisions when required. You are social, pedagogical, and enjoy representing the company in contact with customers and internal partners.
You are analytical, structured, curious, and enjoy a balance between calculations in the office and practical work on-site.
To succeed in the role, you need to be flexible and comfortable working internationally, as projects and start-ups often take place outside Sweden's borders.
Your main areas of responsibility are:
- Actively participate in the sales phase by providing technical documentation, performing basic sizing and guarantee calculations. The work includes optimizing facilities with a focus on both investment and operating costs.
- Be responsible for process technology within the project team by performing detailed calculations, sizing, and developing flow diagrams. The role involves close technical dialogue with customers, suppliers, and internal units, active participation in meetings, and involvement in start-ups, troubleshooting, audits, and site visits worldwide.
- Participate in or lead development projects within drying technology, mechanics, or software development. The work also includes practical moments in labs and pilot runs, as well as contributing to global technical responsibility.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- Master's degree or equivalent in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, technical physics, or similar.
- Good technical understanding and interest in process technology, including mass and energy balances and the air-water system.
- Ability to work analytically, structured, and independently, with good judgment and the ability to make decisions when necessary.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in an international environment, where travel is required.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience from the paper and pulp industry or other equivalent process industry is highly meritorious.
Work location: Växjö
